Arriondas is in the Region of Asturias, and situated in northern Spain at the junction of the river Sella and the river Piloña, both are an important part of its natural heritage, with an abundance of beautiful streams and canyons.
This beautiful village is in a large valley surrounded by mountains, it's only a few kilometres away from the popular town of Cangas de Onís to the west and it lies to the north of Picos de Europa Mountain Range, and approximately 20km from the coast.The area is also home to many prehistoric sites.
If you like outings and outdoor sports, then you are on the perfect place. There are lots of routes available in the area. Head up to the Fitu viewpoint, with magnificent views of the Cantabrian Sea and the Picos de Europa National Park. You can go hiking, or biking, or if you prefer do some fishing of Salmon and trout, hunting, canoeing and Rafting on the Sella River, home to the famous annual International Canoe Race (first Saturday in August) a big Festival for all paddlers with full of music and colors, are other activities available in Arriondas.
