A great destination in Northern Spain - Catalonia
Girona, is an accessible city, with short distances and transport options for going further afield. In addition, Girona is very close to the beach, its outstanding beaches are part of what is known as the Costa Brava and are located in such internationally famous resorts as Tossa de Mar, Cadaqués, Portlligat and Llançà-Natural Park of Cap de Creus.
Which is only a half-hour drive away, and heading inland the Garrotxa volcanic area with its spectacular landscape is also nearby. The Pyrenees, whose ski resorts are perfect for snow tourism, Figueres (with a welknown Dalí Museum), and even the mountain of Montserrat and the city of Barcelona, are just some of the day-trips that can be made from Girona.
This beautifull area its only 65 km/40.39mi from the French border (100 km/62 mi from Perpignan) and 100 km / 62 mi from Barcelona, is an excellent starting point for discovering the rich variety of landscapes in the province.
